Solid Waste Services
Trash is picked up on Tuesday and Friday each
week by Allied Waste Services. Please place trash at curb side in cans by 6:00 a.m. To report any problems with trash pick up, please
contact A. Wade Middaugh, Utility Clerk at City Hall at 657-2091. Items that can not be picked up are
appliances, yard waste, tires, car parts, batteries, motor oils,
explosives, paint and hazardous wastes. Special pick-ups for large items
may be made by contacting Allied Waste at 573-635-8805.
Recycling
Recycling bins are located behind city hall on the
corner of Redbud Lane and Bass Street. Bins are provided for collecting
newspaper, tin cans, aluminum, plastic, and cardboard.
Yard Waste
The City of Ashland has contracted with Clean Cut Services for disposal of residential yard waste at 407 Douglas Drive. Hours of operation are Mon-Sat 7 a.m. to Dusk and Sunday Noon– Dusk.
Ashland City Hall
Ashland City Hall is open Monday-Friday
from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Ashland Police Department is located at
City Hall. The Ashland Police department number is (573) 657-9062 and the
phones are manned 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. After hours
to reach a police officer in case of emergency, please call 911 or for
non-emergencies call joint communications at (573) 442-6131 and they will
contact the officer on duty.
Fire Protection
The Southern Boone Fire Protection District
can only be reached through 911, as it is all volunteer. Non-emergency
calls to the Ashland Fire Station may be placed by dialing
573-657-2370. |
