Construction Project-South Main Street Project

 Ashland, MO- On 7/24/2023, construction is scheduled to begin on the South Main Street Waterline and Resurfacing Project. 

Throughout the duration of this project, South Main St will be regularly closed to through traffic.  Only local traffic (residents, businesses and their patrons, and emergency vehicles) will be permitted in the designated work zones.  The motoring public is encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes during these closures.

The contractor, M&M Landscape and Construction, LLC (MMLC), will begin moving equipment and materials to the area during the week of July 17 in order to begin work as scheduled.  The scope of work on this project includes the following:

• replacement of approximately 2,400 linear feet of water line
• installation of approximately 600 linear feet of new water line, and
• street resurfacing (asphalt mill and overlay) of S Main St between Broadway and S Henry Clay Blvd

It is the goal of the City of Ashland and the contractor to have this project substantially completed before the Southern Boone 2023-2024 school year begins on August 29, 2023. However, school related traffic should be aware and plan for alternate routing through the beginning of the fall term.
