Ashland, MO-
On 05/03/2022 Mayor Dorise Slinker recommended the appointment of David Wilson, 4993 Loyalist Lane, to the Ward 3 vacancy on the Board of Aldermen. The Board accepted this recommendation with unanimous support.

Mayor Slinker conducted five interviews leading up to the May 3rd meeting of the Board of Aldermen in an effort to find a candidate that would bring valuable experience and skills to the Board while also displaying an ability to integrate with the current Board and serve the community. “Mr. Wilson brings a life’s worth of public service to the table stemming from a long career in public safety. This base of knowledge and experience is invaluable to the City and our community as we grow and evaluate our public safety needs and constraints,” stated Mayor Slinker.

Mr. Wilson currently serves the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and brings with him 25 years of law enforcement experience. “I have served the public in various public safety capacities for over 35 years. As the sun sets on my career in law enforcement, it is important for me to continue serving the public in some capacity. Serving on the Board of Aldermen allows me to leverage the skills I have developed over my career while also enabling me to continue my lifelong dedication to public service. I am thankful for the opportunity and excited for the new challenges it will bring,” stated Mr. Wilson.
